In a eccentric move, Kolkata Knight Riders franchise of the Indian Premier League (IPL) have sacked coach John Buchanan after a lot of brainstorming since the team fared badly in both the seasons of the high profile league.

He was severely criticised by cricket pundits and fans alike for inducing more controversies in the team than confidence and his complex theories didn’t help his cause either. He was involved in a big run-in with the skipper of the first season, Sourav Ganguly and the latter was unceremoniously dropped from leading the side this time on the behest of John Buchanan himself.

The Kolkata Knight Riders finished last in this years IPL, not even managing double figures on the points tally.
